Who cares about Federer and Isner when these two titans clash on the most exciting surface of the sport in a beautiful atmosphere in the south of Spain?

Paire leads the H2H 3-0. Who will win this clash of titans?

Why do you need to undermine Fed and Isner to call attention to this match?

Anyway I'm long past caring about what Paire does.

Actually on that surface, it could easily be an ATP 500 final if Paulo Andujar-Alba had remained healthy and Benoit Paire lived up to the expectations (yes that's two if).
When you look at the lineups at some ATP 500 clay tournaments these days it could be a final even without Andujar staying healthy or Paire living up to expectations.

Andujar won. Paire had matchpoint and was also leading 6-4 5-3. He really messed it up with bad drop shots on crucial moments.

Pretty good match and atmosphere. Andujar looking solid, Paire didn't throw tantrums, so nice battle overall. Happy for Pablo, hopefully he remains healthy and continues his steady return to form.

Damn Paire should have made that drop volley for 6-3 in the tb. Even worse, he choked an easy forehand to go 2-1 up in the decider.

So an ATP 250 final it is now.
