he is just way to good for someone like Whittington, which is phenomenal for someone who's 14. Quite unbelieve he's just 14. His game is so mature.

Hope he gets a qualies WC into the Rogers Cup. Better than seeing Krainek get pasted 0 and 1.

In that last game it looked like he was toying with Whittington. Very impressive.

Okay, keep this in perspective... Remember the caliber of the competition... It's way too early to put expectations in this kid... But wow.

Wolmarans, Aubone or this Aussie are just players from futures' level, but that's not the most important thing - 14 yo kid is dominating them with offensive mindset, huge forehand, versatility and maturity. Whittington won 5 games today and if in first set with 1-4 and 30-30 umpire wouldn't make mistake by overrule Aliassime's lob, score probably would look something like 16 26.

It's ridiculous how completely he exposed Whittington tonight considering his age.

Who knows how his career progresses over the next few years as it's a long and hard road to the ATP, but if his drive to succeed comes close to matching his very evident talent, this kid could be something really special.

he's gained 13 points now, that puts him at around 872.

I should write more than that. He was very enjoyable to watch, yes the quality of competition is not great, but wins like this will give him confidence.

Twitter says he's the youngest player with win on Challenger MD level. Any confirmation?

The best thing about him is the fact he doesn't have any significant weakness in his fundamentals. BH? Good. Forehand? Great. Volley? As good as his backhand. Movement? Footwork? Great - just watch first action of third game in 2nd set and see how fast he's on his feet RIGHT NOW. Return? Very natural. Regularity? Having all these things you have to have regularity. That's why he's having this fast transition to men's game.

That's a lock at this point. Organizers will think back to when a teenage Milos had match points on Gonzalez

Incredible to see the talent coming out of Canada recently considering they had no role models (Nestor doesn't count)

He went on a 15 match winning streak in junior events last year...

He hasn't last in the quarterfinals or earlier in a junior tournament since last August. :speakles:

I mean, he lost due to a walkover in February in an early but that doesn't officially count...
