Does anyone know what happened?

Sorry for creating a thread for a CH Q match, but this intrigued me.

Surely an argument with the chair umpire then

Maybe about a line call

It wasn't an injury?

Apparently he smacked a ball away in anger and it hit somebody.

Usually there's only one man and his dog there for challenger qualies, so Bangoura must have mad skillz to hit the bullseye.

Tried to smack the ball in the back fence frustrated but apparently back fence at this court is not too high so ball went away to the crowd or something like this. Did not hit or hurt anyone or something like this. That's what commentator said few minutes ago on Escobedo - Nguen match.

Maybe they confused Radek's dick with a person.

Doesn't make sense though. Players smack balls out of courts all the time and never get defaulted. Only warned for ball abuse.

It must have hit somebody in the same way that Tim Henman did all those years ago.

Besides, Mike C wouldn't want to criticise an American player. The USTA pays his wages.

Too much joking around in this thread.

If you are that curious, why not write an email to the tournament, what happened exactly?
