Of course if anyone else was still in the running for the grass GOAT title it was Sampras, but Fed has now 7 titles and 2 finals while Sampras had 7 titles and no finals. Fed also won 5 consecutive Wimbies which Sampras could not do.

Then there is the the other grass court titles like Halle where Fed has won 7 titles, while Sampras had 3 other grass court titles. Also there is the grass court winning streak of 65 by Fed. But the main thing is the record at Wimby.

On a side note, since Djokovic will probably never surpass Fed as the HC GOAT it means Fed is the GOAT on 2/3 surfaces if he is grass GOAT. Does that make him overall GOAT?

Discuss.

ALL TIME: Laver, Rosewall, Newcombe, Borg, Edberg, GONZALEZ, Becker would be Roger's equal or superior in that they played against better competition because there were more quality grass court players in their eras.

No body can beat Sampras on grass..when Sampras played the grass was super fast.

Didn't we already knew this? And to say nole will never surpass fed as hc GOAT is premature.

Sampras was on his last legs by 2001, looking older than his 30 years, not having won anything for a year, it was ominous that he did so badly in Australia where he didn't even make the QFs (being a 6 time finalist and 2 time winner, there).

Nevertheless, Wheelchair Pete took Fresh Fed to 5 sets on the faster playing grass.

Legends are born on the faster grass

Even The Casual Fan knows what Pete accomplished and is greater than Fed on grass.

Sampras was superior on grass. Watching him, and watching Fraud, it's not even close. Not to mention overall competition...

Also, he did it after RG finals or deep runs there, while Pistole Pete would be cooling his firearms and sharpening the cold ones for the grass.

Only time Pistol Pete somehow managed to RG sf he lost in Wim Qf, because playing back to back GS finals ain't easy and he was not BB or RF or RN.

The same number of Wimbledon wins, more finals, more semifinals, more quarterfinals, more other tournament wins, more grass match wins, ranking points etc. Also the fact that Federer can still play on grass at the age Sampras was happily watching daytime telly, these are the numbers and facts. That's all that matters.
Yours is just subjective drivel. And even that is poorly constructed - "wheelchair Pete"? I think even you can do better than that.
Btw the "casual fan" holds Federer in much higher esteem than Sampras, try actually asking around.

Laver and Gonzalez would be close, the latter due to his excellent serve. Others wouldn't, and certainly not Rosewall, Newk or Borg.
However, if grass was more played on in Fed's era he would have been even better on it, 4 weeks a year is a bit ridiculous.

Utter garbage as some have already remarked. Get your facts straight old sport.

No because according to fedtards grass isn't real grass like the 90's so Sampras wins.

Interesting argument.

If we apply the same to Nadal and clay then Borg is superior to Nadal too.

On topic, I go with hard facts and figures, not the unmeasurable factors others subjectively put forward: Federer is better than any other open era player on grass.

Are we again blowing the same trumpet for Frauderer??? His accomplishments against weak-era doesn't prove anything... Sampras was genuinely great on grass and he fended off serious competiion unlike Frauderer who failed to get past Nadal in 2008, needed 5 sets in 2007. Nadal was barely 21 and this Grassgoat couldn't beat him.
Moreover,, are we still considering this final run as some sort of genius run? A lameass draw, QF opponent playing his 3rd consecutive match and Milos "I can't make a return to save my life" Raonic in semis?? Get real, Fedtards
