Re: Can we consider Davydenko & Del Potro best hardcourters in comparison with Nadal?

Nadal leads Djokovic 2-1 at the US Open, and Djokovic needed 6 hours to beat Nadal at the AO!
Nadal leads Federer 3-0 at the Australian Open.
Nadal leads Murray 2-0 at the World Tour Finals.
Nadal swept the North American Summer (Canada, Cincy, US Open), while Djokovic, Federer and Murray COULD NOT.
Enough said.

Davydenko really troubled Nadal on hard much as Djokovic currently does.

In overall terms though, Novak is in another league compared to Del Potro and Davydenko on this or any surface.

One of the most unwarranted posts and cherrypicked arguments seen on MTF in recent times.

Its hard to make a sound argument in favor of Davy and Del Potro, considering they combine for only ONE slam.
No h2h can save them.

The ball is round. Hard is the hard far and wide.

Del Potro was injured you clown
So? You mean, hadn't he been injured, he would have won 3 Slams and 8 Masters? He wasn't injured in 2012-2013 and didn't still win something bigger than ATP-500 :haha:

Stop laughing at Del GOATro's wrist problems back then. If he were healthy he would have won at least two hc Slams.

But why should I bother? At least he defended a hc-title unlike certain other players.... :wavey:

Don't forget RAFA had a lot of unjures too.

What an argument :haha: Yeah, winning AO one year and USO next year (as RAFA did in 2009-2010) is worse than winning Washinghton back-to-back :haha:

RAFA is a superior hard court player. Just deal with it.

It isn't the same tournament, enough said. :wavey:

Apart from it we know how RAFA won his Slams, due to easy cakedraws. Whereas Del GOATro always had tough draws to begin with

Besides this Del GOATro is the only Non-American who could win Washington back-to-back. When did RAFA win a hc title of the very same tournament back-to-back again? Not even in the so weak Fredderer-era, no? :worship:

Are you stating that winning an ATP-500 tournament back-to-back is better than winning 2 different Slams? :haha: :haha: You have no logic.

RAFA did beat Djokovic 2 times at a HC Slam, which is Del Potro can dream of.

Yes, achievements against the field as a whole are more relevant than H2H. Nadal is way better on HC than the other two.

Nadal is a more accomplished HC player than del Potro and Davydenko combined... Though peak for peak Delpo is probably the better player

the H2H speaks with itself that on hardcourt davydenko and del potro have the advantage in this match up. thats not saying that either one was a better player. thats saying that on that specific surface it just suited their games more and thats why they got those wins over nadal on it.

nadal is more accomplished but thats really about nadal being mentally tougher than davydenko or healthier than del potro for the most part

i think most would agree that if davydenko was not a choker he'd have at least 3-4 slams in his career . he wasted 3 really good opportunites and 2 of those were on a hard court. and we wont get into what del potro would have done if he hadnt lost about 5 years due to injuries in his career . safe to say he'd have won more and done more

Del Potro defeated Djokovic and Nadal at Olympics, the most important tournament of all. RAFA only can dream of defeating two Big3-members to win a medal. In fact he had cakedraws to win his gold, if he got a hard draw he would have no singles medal like in 2016 :wavey: :haha:

But Delpo is a lot better than Fredderer as he's better on hc. :spit:
