i like both players...
but i want to see murray to win today,
also because...well, we know safin is playing against medical advice..
i think he should rest, not to aggravate his injury so he can play in USO....
Of course he "can". He has the arsenal of shots and the drive- it's all a matter of keeping it together on the court.
Another interesting factor will be Marat's injury since many a times if a player knows his opponenet is injured he might change his game plan and get into trouble because of it. He is inexperienced so it will remain to be seen how much he can stick to and implement his game plan.
If Safin gets broken early there's a chance he'll go crazy at being behind to a kid like Andy, the knee might start to hurt a little more and he might get into a downward spiral and ultimately lose. If Marat gets on top early it's difficult to see Andy winning, so for Murray it's essential he comes out of the blocks firing in my opinion.
Who knows what will happen? At his best, Marat can beat Federer but if just a little frustration creeps in he could loose to some very low ranked players.
Murray's primary objective has to be to make Marat go crazy.
