Can Fognini win a title outside clay?

All Fognini's titles have come from clay. But can he win a title on another surface?

I doubt. His game is suited best to clay and he hasn't had so many great results on other surfaces.

No, away from clay he is totally average player. It would take some serious Mickey Mousin' for him to even reach a final.

I think he'd have a decent shot at grabbing one if he played the weaker outdoor HC events in February and July. Doubt he'll switch from his preferred clay during those months though, so I don't think it'll happen.

He has the game to do it. Why not taking one 250 event somewhere?
He's not just a claycourt grinder like many spaniards for example. He's got all the shots. The problem is just in his head, like always. :superlol:
