Say Djokovic does indeed finish 2018 #1, what can Rogie do (and Rafa for that matter) to become #2 to end 2018? Does Rogie have any realistic chances at #2 or is he going to finish 2018 #3 at best for certain?

Federer playing Paris seems to raise a lot of questions:grin2:

It's irrelevant whether he finishes 2nd or 3rd, in his case only no1 matters.
#2 could be huge actually. On paper in best case he could avoid both Rafa and Djok before the F in AO. But #3 is the likeliest, and thus potentially either Rafa or Djok in SF if it gets to that.

Novak will be #1.

Federer can be #2. I don't mind at all.

Does Rafa withdrawing from Paris help Rogie's chances to be #2 at the end of 2018, also if he skips London as well??

I get it helps, a better question is if Rafa also withdraws from London as well let's say, how many points at Paris and London does Rogie need to win to finish 2018 #2??

Federer needs to gain 1920 points if Nadal withdraws from YEC too. Very difficult task.

At the moment, he already has 90 points of Paris.

Yeah, and in 2019 Rogie defends 2,000 points at the AO, Rafa just the AO QF and nothing until clay court season, Rogie might be #3 at best the rest of his career!!
