Amazing winners from all angles. And both their backhands were jawdropping!

In the last set Wawrinka was having break points every game Almagro was serving and he was holding easily untill the 4-5 were Almagro broke in his first opportunity (30-40). Clearly it helps a lot mentally if you start serving in the last set, if not you're under a lot of pressure when serving to stay in the match.

Wtf are you talking about Almagro had his bp chances. The match was almost a lottery. They were neck and neck in every rally.

This match is a good example of why a one hander vs. one hander is such a fantastic combo in a clay court match. A lot of angles that are just inaccessible to a lot of the current crop of players. Plus makes up for a great watch.

Sounds like it was amazing. Too bad I didn't watch it. Nicolas continues his clay streak. He really loves this time of year. Keep going, Nicolas! Go one further this year and win all 3 titles :yeah:

I don't understand how people hate Nicolas so much. He's a joy to watch on all surfaces (more so on clay) and he's a great player. Far better to watch than the current top 2 who are seen as tennis deities on here
