Tough luck Kei, in his Davis Cup debut.:sad:
Haven't seen the match, but it was probably the first five setter he's ever played, and the last time he played a competitive match on grass was Wimbledon junior 2005.
I can give you more excuses if you like. :ras:

Looks like Japan has to win the other three singles now, but it's not impossible I would say.

I think if Japan is 1-2 after Saturday, Suzuki will replace Soeda and beat Bopanna and then Nishikori will beat Amritraj.

The doubles is little more than a formality so Japan must win all three singles matches remaining. It won't happen!!
