The historic Harlem Junior Tennis Program is hosting a class reunion to benefit its current students next month. Former Yonkers residents James Blake and Thomas Blake, who both learned to play tennis in the program, will return to play an exhibition match and conduct a clinic for children on Saturday, December 21st from 3 to 5 p.m.

The Blake brothers appear annually in the Harlem Junior Tennis Program's clinic. A year ago, the Blakes and John McEnroe played a doubles exhibition with one of the members of the program. The Harlem Tennis Program is located at 40 West 143rd Street in New York.

"We're very excited to have James and Thomas return and spend time with our kids," Harlem Junior Tennis Program director Dante Brown said. "They're great role models for our kids."

The clinic and exhibition is open to the public, free of charge, with children receiving priority to participate. In addition to the Blake brothers, Arthur Ashe, Pancho Gonzalez, Althea Gibson and former Knicks Hall of Famer guard Earl Monroe are among the notable players who have played at the Harlem Tennis Center in an eventful history that has spanned more than 50 years.
