2 matchups: Who is more likely to win in a peak vs peak matchup on the surfaces mentioned against the legends of the previous generation? Rafa or Fed?

* Peak Rafa (2010) vs Peak Sampras (1994-1995) at Wimbledon
* Peak Federer (2006) vs Peak Borg (1987) at Roland Garros

Try to explain why you believe one or the other would have a better chance to win instead of giving these 'I am so much smarter than everyone else' type of responses.

Good luck controlling yourself!

Well Rafa since he beat 7 times Wimbledon champion in his prime already.
In Federer's worst ever year since his prime started in 2003(up until 2013)affected by Mono when all kinds of mugs were beating him. Also Federer was not a 7 time Champion at that time. That's like saying Youzhny breadsticked and bagelled 14 time GS champion Nadal.

On topic, Federer definitely. No chance Pete loses to Nadal at Wimbledon.

Both are very likely. Gotta go with Federer though, since Borg was retired in 1987...

Its Hard to compare Borg and Roger. Its a huge difference in racquet tehnology, medicine, trainings, food suplements etc.Completly different era

With Sampras and Rafa its much easier, no big difference in those things i wrote up here.
Peak Sampras vs Peak Rafa on 2008 grass i would go with Rafa for sure.On a 90s grass Sampras would have adge but smaller edge than Rafa would have on 2008 grass.

Lets say, Rafa would win 7/10 matches vs Sampras on 2008 grass and Sampras would win 6/10 vs Rafa on 90 grass. You need to remeamber that Sampras was even worser then Roger in terms of stamina and backhand.
