Comparing the performances of the BIG3 players from the beginning of their rivalry.

It covers a category of as many as 30 items and depicts who came in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each of them. They are marked in Green, Blue and Pink colours respectively. The graphics given here illustrate the latest table as of June 19 2023, after the Roland-Garros 2023 tournament.

On further analysis of this table, one realises how DOMINANT Novak Djokovic was over his greatest rivals Rafa Nadal and Roger Federer in different categories during their entire career, spanning nearly two decades. For easy understanding, I have converted those into percentages for each player who occupied the respective places.

Djokovic came first in 27 of the 30 categories. Have a look at it in percentages. Djokovic occupies first place in the green with a staggering 90% ! Djokovic lags behind both of them in the red at 3rd place only once - regarding his Olympic Bronze medal. He came second only twice - that too w.r.t ATP ranking points adjusted up to the year 2008 and most Consecutive weeks as No.1 - which in anyway are not that relevant. In third place, it is only 3% of the total !

Compare that with the performances of Nadal and Roger. They are in the green in first place with an abysmally low 7% & 14% and in the pink in 3rd place with a very high 30% & 43% respectively, of all the yardsticks considered.

Conclusion : Let us not decide the greatness of sportspeople - more so in individual sports - on the basis of their personality or popularity, which are subjective only. It is to be decided on their merit and performances on the field. And in tennis, Djokovic reigns SUPREME over his arch rivals Roger and Nadal over their career.

There is no logic in arguing by cherry-picking statistics to say that Nadal or Roger had won over Djokovic here and there!

Novak Djokovic is the BEST and the GREATEST of the BIG3. Accept the facts. If anybody thinks otherwise, they are not talking tennis !

Clearly made by a Djokovic fan. Obviously at this point he'd come out on top regardless, but 90% is undeserved. Winning both Wimbledon and US Open five times in a row is really a lot better than winning five masters in a row, but somehow only the 2nd make the list.
😌 :sneaky:by @yolitatennis

It's not that it's undeserved. This is because it is strongly biased, by an obvious abuse of double counting as already indicated. :dunno:

I don't deal too much with that kind of "tailored" table but are you aware that you are double counting with GS-YEC-MS-OG and the thing called "big titles"? :D

And if consecutive YECs is important to you, it is less so when it comes to consecutive YE1s, as well as every slams in a row. when its.. more consistent :sneaky:

I'm just saying but it's fun 😅

a bit stupid that 2 players at zeros in the column share the 2nd place. if it is 0, they can only share 3rd place. or check who is closest. both missing 2 masters to GM, don't know, check how many finals or figure something out. all big titles are probably fed better as rafa also lacks WTF. as with OG, 2 haven't won but fed came closer. but both as no3 is the best solution!
