How many of the Big 3 grand slam wins have been when they entered the tournament as the betting favourite? And how many has each of them lost when they entered as the favourite?

I am not sure how to get accurate info on this. I think in terms of winning as the favourite it is going to be a close call between all of them but perhaps Federer leads in this?

In terms of losing while being the favourite I have to think Djokovic must be leading this as 2012 onwards he has mostly been the favourite at 3 grand slams every year. Nadal probably has the fewest losses while being the favourite.

Keep in mind I am not talking about being favourite in the final but rather at the start of the tournament. If anyone can really dig into the numbers here that would be quite interesting to see.

I know the only two GS finals Nadal has lost when he was the betting favourite were the 2014 and 2017 AOs (the latter only a slight favourite). Conversely he was an underdog in the two AO finals he won.

Im pretty sure Nadal was the betting fav for 2009 RG.
Federer was betting favourite for AO2005 and USO2009
Djokovic was favourite to win AO2017 and USO2019

Odds these days make no sense. Alcaraz was tied for favorite to win RG from what I remember. No one with common sense would bet on a nextgenner over a big 3 player in a slam final.
