Roddick was just canon fodder for Murray, highlight was the racquet smash from Duckboy.

A mediter style bagel as well.

Duck is done. He actually hit an 155 km/h first serve (under 100mph), just 1 ace throught the match.
Murray was reading his game like an open book.

Roddick against the best players in 2011:

Queens Club: Murray 3-6, 1-6
US Open: Nadal 2-6, 1-6, 3-6
Basel: Federer 3-6, 2-6
Paris: Murray 2-6, 2-6

Lucky A-Rod to avoid a match with Djokovic and probable bagel. Former No. 1 and the best server

Roddick is worse than awful. Anyone who can return and doesn't make too much errors can beat him easily.
He lost even his serve.

Roddick playing against the likes of Federer,Nadal or Murray losing his serve twice or even three times in a set tells the story. His serve is not working and from the baseline he is too predictable and without the opponents mistakes he struggles to win any points.

Murray excellent but then he wasn't really being asked to do very much that was difficult or put under any kind of pressure, which makes it easier to play your best tennis.

Roddick just looks powerless at the moment for whatever reason, wondering if he can claw at least some of what he's lost back.

I think a good sign for Murray is that I think he hit quite a few more winners than Roddick produced errors. Nice dictating play.
Roddick at his best was never a great volleyer, but now he suicide volleys. It does help liven up the highlight really, but he needs to reconsider that tactic.

poor Duck...you can notice the sense of inevitable desperation when non-mugs don't give him any errors and beat his ol' ass into submission every time. He should listen to heya and stop pretending that he can still play tennis

The ump was kind of laughing at his racquet breaking outburst, which made him angrier. Murray was stoic as usual.

Yep, if he's waiting for Murray or Nadal to make errors, he'll be waiting all day. And Fed can spray in his old age, but never against Roddick- he saves his best to slam Roddick every time.

Waiting for heya to respond.

That was a Murray masterclass :yeah:, had Roddick on a string and toyed with him like a yo-yo, dragging him all over the court.

But Roddick's racquet smash - :bigclap:, well that was his highlight of the whole match, and once again, conversing with the umpire.

What has happened to Roddick's serve? :help: The guy had 0 aces the whole match...Roddick's game just does not do anything against the Top 4, he didn't play Djokovic at all this year, but Roddick got thoroughly beaten by Murray, Nadal and Federer.

Keep going Muzza, for Roddick, well hope he somehow finds his Wimbledon 09 form, otherwise things don't look good for 2012!
