Aussie humour once again misunderstood by others. Mates, why are y'all so damn stressed all the time? Good thing America's got Trump now to preoccupy everyone's brains for a while.
Hmmm it seems people don't care for the Aussie humour lately - I get the humour but you kind of have to know the person to joke around like that, I certainly don't care for strangers (that's what broadcasters are to players, basically) trying to jab with me, it's like who da faq are you mate?

The fact that the interviewer is speaking about that at all is absolutely disgusting. To talk with the player "who the crowd will support", "who loves who and who hates who". Djokovic is constantly asked how does he feel as "hated player" when he is loved by millions of people. The journalists are totally out of touch. Absolutely agree with Ben.
It's not that deep. First of all the guy said nothing outrageous. The home guy or the world #1 will typically have the backing. He then posed this to Ben, basically asking how he saw it and how he would approach it. Ben said that yes this is likely the case and he understands it, but that he too will have his backers. To which the guy replied and concluded: "Definitely... lots of support in your corner... lots of American flags throughout the crowd. Congratulations, through to the semis! Best of luck to you!"

Nothing about hate.

Ben should be confident and if he starts going deep in big tournaments and winning slams he will have earned the right to be a bit arrogant.

The exact words are not important. The overall meaning is that they will cheer more for the other guy and Ben is right about that.
Nonsense, as explained in my other post. He asked for Ben's reaction to being the underdog (facts) in front of the crowd. Ben replied. Dude gave him his props and said yes he too will have his backers.

Also if you're trying to joke with people you don't know it gives off vibes that you're trying too hard...chill out, be professional, joke with your wife and buddies

Tony Jones was f'in cringe

As Danielle Collins found - the Aussie crowd are keen on banter and humour but when it is directed back at them they get all upset.

A bit of tall Poppy syndrome?

If Danielle was Australian they would love her personality.

Hmm, not so sure about that. Us aussies don't mind a bit of feistiness, but I think she's borderline for a lot of us even if she was from Sydney or Melbourne.

I'm basing that on her career behaviour though, not just her antics this year, but who knows, I might be wrong about that.

Trump won because America got soft.
Did commentator really say that Monfils is maybe Sheltons dad? Big difference between “he could be your dad” vs “he might be your dad”. I’m curious if Shelton simply misunderstood the interviewer.

Watch the videos. I explained above what he actually said.

why race baiters always calling half blacks as blacks?Mahomes,Shelton.
That failed fucktard qb from 49s started that idiotic trend. Idiot claimed racism was the reason he lost starting position. I didn’t even think he was black. Looked very white to me.

This guy is a tennis mug but hard to disagree with this opinion on this specific issue, especially when you watch the video.

I find most post-match interviews at this AO terrible. Petkovic should have been sacked after her first one. She makes players feel awkward and just doesn't have the right tools for the job
Petkovic interviewed Fonseca like he was a 7 year old child.

John Fitzgerald was so dumb struck that Tien managed to beat Medvedev he had no real questions but just trite cringeworthy statements that on 1 or 2 occasions Tien didn't even indulge in responding at all and look bored by it all.

Had 2nd hand embarrassment just watching and hearing it from the sidelines and couldn't bear to sit through any more of them.

Shelton has somewhat of a point.
