Which one of these ATP500 tournaments is played on slower surface? Looking at last years results, seems like Tokyo is faster than Beijing, but I would be grateful for your thoughts/facts :)

I watched bits of both tournaments but comparing the scorelines of the final should tell you as much:

Djokovic - Berdych 6-0 6-2 (almost 6-0 6-0, Berdych held serve just once)
Nishikori - Raonic 7-6(5) 3-6 6-4 (Raonic served very well, 21 aces with 71% first serve percentage), however the Tokyo final was played with roof closed because of a tropical storm.

Still I feel Tokyo is still slightly faster overall, if you watch some highlights it's rather quick and I like it that way.

Beijing is slower (slower surface speed + lower avg temperature during the tournament).
