Better hard court player won, Musetti retired mid-match for the 6789th time

He called the physio in the second set and had a MTO, received some treatment lying down, possibly a back problem.

Mensik & Musetti retire to go with Zheng,Osorio & Boisson today.

Previous day it was Badosa & Krejcikova.

The crowd have a pretty good right to feel a little frustrated at this... Par for the course when the season is winding down in just 5 weeks.

Anyway,Musetti has a good section to at least reach the Quarters in Shanghai & he's trying to eke & squirrel away 100+ or so points each tournament to nab that Top 8 spot for Turin.

What an unbelievable pussy.

Fully deserved the boos.

Another coward who can dish it out but can't take it.

And LULZ—the irony: being kicked out by a player with Chinese blood in his veins

Doesn't he have a Vietnamese background?

A first ATP tour SF for the new Nadal in a tournament above 250 level. He already has a check the overrated Brazilian is yet to achieve.
A shame it came through mid-match retirement from Musetti, but the new Nadal can only control his side of the court.
