They obviously made the surface fast in order to help Mug-Li to win - too bad she's an inconsistent brainless ballbasher who loses to mugs after her fluke RG on regular basis :eek:

The surface speed will help Clownga if anything.

Contrary to popular belief, I thought Na's best surface is slow hardcourt/clay.:p her best results were from those events with those surface.:angel:

nadal's last two hardcourt titles were on fast hardcourts, tokyo and new york.....good for nadal and ultimately good for the game.....yes, speed up the hardcourts.....

Yeah Nadull would be unbeatable if all the courts were sped up.

It's not always the case, in Tokyo remained the same surface from Davis Cup tie against Indian which was played on the same stadium-surface.
Yes, obviously they're not going to rip out a fresh court - Tokyo was built just beforehand (the earthquake damaged the courts).

The point I tried (failed) to make was that a new stadium on site with a new court isn't going to mean anything different to a freshly resurfaced court, which is what they'll definitely be doing every year in Beijing (if they didn't it would be insanely fast, think Paris on steroids).
