The choke wasn't THAT big I think, you have to give credit to Stebe as well. He played good return games when Andi served for the set/match.
Stebe played a very good match overall, and I think Beck was getting tired to the end. Stebe could have won the decider 6-4 when he had 4 BPs at 4-4.
Then in the TB Beck already led 4-2, but made one terrible UE earlier in the TB and another one and then Stebe played some great shots to win this thing.
Up to 89 in the rankings now, AO MD place is 100% sure now. Hopefully he won't be too tired for tomorrow's final (revenge) against Sela.
Beck should have won that second set, but Stebe was clearly the better player in the third. Had more chances to break, better in the big moments, etc. Both of these guys should be mainstays in the top 100 if they play at this level. Whether that will happen, who knows?
Well, Bellucci lost to both Sela and Beck, with his form right now he's around Challenger level. Plus he brought some interest to the home crowd, which kept them around to see quality matches like this.
