Hi,
My name is Erik Oberhammer and I am a Tennis Pro in Myrtle Beach,
South Carolina and will be playing this Event. Please give me a call
if you have any Question about this great game. Come be part of
history and play and watch this New Sport & New Game grow!
I have been playing this sport since the first event in Charleston,
S.C. May 15th. If you love tennis you will love Beach Tennis! This is
a game that is fun at all levels and great fitness! A playful game,
filled with things like fun and community, spontaneity and
creativity, agility and light-heartedness

The U.S. Beach Tennis Open Championship
September 3-4, 2005, Long Beach, NY


(Rain date: September 5)

Our courts will be located at the Riverside Blvd. entrance.
Players of all skill levels, abilities and ages are invited to join
us for a day of fun and competition. Men, women and children all are
welcome to sign up. A total of $15,000 in cash and prizes will be
awarded to competitors in the Pro and Amateur divisions.
Men's Pro Division: 32 team limit, $6,500 purse

Women's Pro Division: 16 team limit, $3,500 purse

The first 50 people to sign up will receive a FREE tournament T-
shirt.
SPECTATORS ARE WELCOME AND ADMISSION IS FREE

(Long Beach beach fee is $7)
WIN A FREE VACATION IN ARUBA!

We will be holding a raffle for a free trip to Aruba, including hotel
and airfare. The trip includes 6 days and 5 nights at the Wyndham
Aruba Resort, Spa & Casino in the beautiful Dutch Caribbean.
Restrictions apply.
Raffle tickets will be sold on site at the U.S. Beach Tennis Open in
Long Beach. The raffle is open to the general public, but everyone
who registers for the tournament will automatically be entered into
the drawing, which will be held on Sunday, Sept. 4 at the
tournament's center court in Long Beach during the Men's and Women's
Pro Division Finals.

NOTE: Winner must be present to collect prize.

Men's and Women's Pro Division Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Finals
Mandatory on-site check in for all players: Saturday, September 3, 10
a.m.


A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to four
local charities: the Long Beach Recreation Center, Michelle O'Neill
Foundation, The Mickey Diamond Foundation and Paulie Bradley, Make a
Wish Foundation.

Join us Saturday night at 8:00 for our "Beach Bash," which will
feature a concert by The Mystic and the sounds of DJ Jimmy Soul. The
concert will be held near our courts, east of Riverside.

Take the Long Island Rail Road to the Long Beach train station. Exit
the station and walk one block east to Riverside Blvd. Turn right
onto Riverside Blvd and the beach will be straight ahead.

Express trains are available from Penn Station: 9:45am Saturday and
Sunday.

Penn Station-NYC, Woodside Station and Jamaica Station.
By Car from Manhattan, Westchester, Queens, Bronx or Northern New
Jersey
• Long Island Expressway or Grand Central Parkway East to Meadowbrook
Parkway South
• Meadowbrook Parkway South to Exit M-10 (Long Beach – Loop Parkway)
• Loop Parkway to end
• Bear right onto Lido Boulevard East.
• Lido Boulevard through Lido Beach into Long Beach
• At Long Beach border, Lido Boulevard becomes East Park Avenue
• Straight on Park Avenue into downtown Long Beach and turn left onto
Riverside Blvd.
• Parking and the beach will be straight ahead
By Car from Staten Island, Southern New Jersey or Brooklyn
• Verrazano Bridge to Belt Parkway East to Sunrise Highway exit
• Sunrise Highway East past Green Acres Mall through Valley Stream,
Lynbrook and Rockville Centre
• Right onto Long Beach Road South all the way to Long Beach Bridge
• After crossing bridge continue straight until major intersection
(East Park Avenue)
• Right onto Park Avenue, drive one block west and turn left onto
Riverside Blvd.
• Parking and the beach will be straight ahead
