I talked to my aunt who doesn't want Westbrook traded, but she said if Westbrook was traded she would follow him on TV. Russ may get out of OKC, but my aunt will follow his career right to the end!

11 years at OKC, it's hard to think of OKC without Westbrook.

Now that he's a rocket, the NBA is the craziest it's been in a while. Lakers, Clippers, Rockets and Nets all looked stacked. I wouldn't be shocked if it's another team that wins the title.

Rondo is useless. Gotta get Bradley.

Korver is also useless.
Rondo and Lbron cant play at the same time. They are both ball dominant. At least Bron can shoot.

Same apllies for the new trade. Russ and Harden in the same team with just one ball? That going to be fun to watch

Still also GSW. Philly, Jazz, Nuggets, Bucks.

After the trade my aunt called and told me she was at least glad that Russ had remained in her time zone. She is not only taken by Russ, but by his whole family! The way she talks about them you would think they were personal friends, but they really aren't.

I really think the odds are too low on Philly winning - they are stacked. Health is all that could derail them. Which I believe firmly it will for the Clippers and Lakers.

Philly has absolutely no depth though.

Their starting five is top notch, but even that lacks shooting.

Lets see when Horford hits his decline.

Man I will miss KD so much next season :( Not used to watching the NBA without him. Shouldn't have played the final. Glad he left GSW tho. Nets can be fun if he can somehow pull a Dominique Wilkins type of comeback. Praying for the best. Not sure I like the number change tho. He made 35 an iconic number. KD7 will take time to get used to.

Kawhi has his head screwed on straight. Wonder if he ever even considered going the "KD route" i.e. joining a superstar team to create a runaway favorite... Dude was THE key domino piece that then led to parity not seen in years. Instead of big 3's there are many dynamic duos. Saw Max Kellerman proposing CP3 to Lakers though as the perfect fit. Well, him and LBJ are close and the latter can probably handle CP3's antics, but not sure if there's any real (cap etc.) possibility for this to happen.

absolutely no chance.

even in a buyout all other teams could take him before LAL

A buyout would be an interesting scenario though. Give SGA space to develop and get rid (to a certain extent) of CP3's big contract. I suppose you mean teams that have more cap space would move in? Perhaps, but CP3 has a slightly tricky reputation at this point + is also in decline. We'll see. As far as a trade, not much value that LAL has left to offer at this point anymore. No idea how a buyout really works but thats what I read.

LAL have too many damn PG's right now, and unless Bradley starts at point, not sure if they have a great starting PG.

Caruso is probably their best choice, but, he's Caruso, he's fighting an uphill battle.

They gotta drop Rondo.

Will probably make mid season trades to get some depth at 3/4... Covington would be absolutely perfect. Maybe if Minny struggles by then, they can trade for him.

I think I'm pretty much out of basketball. OKC won't be the same without Westbrook and I don't care for James Harden so I won't follow Westbrook in Houston.

Season starts in a few days, so here are my picks:

East

1. Bucks
2. Celts
3. Pacers
4. 76ers
5. Raps
6. Nets
7. Heat
8. Hawks

West

1. Clips
2. Rockets
3. Nugs
4. Blazers
5. Jazz
6. Wars
7. Spurs
8. Kings

Hornets to finish last.

Final: Bucks vs. Clips, Clips are the Champs.

MVP: Leonard.
I definitely take the field over the Clippers. Not sure they make the final 4.

Really, why? Why don't they make even the Final 4, they are the best team on paper?
They are a team full of isolation specialists without a true point guard. They probably won't have good spacing on offense. They don't have shooting, which is important with isolation specialists. Their starting lineup is good to great defensively, but their bench isn't.

There are a lot of good teams in the west. I know that the Clippers are good, but I still think the odds are they don't make the final four.

Yeah, I agree about the PG, but at the same time I think there are a lot of teams where you wonder how the players will fit, and will probably be more iso like LAL, Dallas and the Rockets for starters, yet they do boast great duo's, not having a PG could be an issue though, will be a fascinating season no doubt, more solid teams like the Jazz, Nugs and Pacers could do really well. How do they not have shooting, they have Williams, McGruder and Shamet to a lesser extent, plus they have Leonard and George offense won't be an issue, and like you said their defense is pretty good too.
