Lol, good call, Nadal ends any hope of a streak on clay. Ruthless behaviour.

Nadalosaurus jokingly suggested , after his loss at Hamburg last year, that he was going to start another streak.

its 20 in a row so far on clay. can he make it 39 by the time he leaves Roland Garros:

1. 2 more matches here in Barcelona
2. 5 in Rome
3. 5 in Hamburg
7. 7 in Paris

very tall order. could lose in Hamburg again if he is really worn out.

assuming he keeps it going this year, there are 5 more matches to be played in Stuttgart. that will make it 44 in a row.

we can further assume that he is only going to get better next year.

Great. Almagro is one of a select few players that could potentially trouble Nadal, IF Almagro is at his best and Nadal is not, and then he loses to Gremelmayer. Yawn.

back-to-back semifinals... that's an amazing effort. What about him taking a set off Nadal just like he did it with Federer in Estoril? ;)

Impressive, Gremel. :yeah:
Sure, Federer was playing rather crappily in Estoril, but the german showed that he's capable of playing great tennis. Glad to see that he's able to keep it up.
Sucks that he already entered a challenger, otherwise he would have gotten the SE for Rome. :(

This result was a shocker. Thought Almagro would have steamed through.
