Re: Barcelona Entry List [EL Added]

And David Ferrer will receive one of the potential five WC's
Pray for GOATredo and KUHNredo. At worst, they should be in qualies draw.

CHUNGredo v Nadal final incoming....

More ranking points. :lick:
Ehhh, I doubt he'd go far here given the very impressive lineup. Very unlikely he'll get past R16 as a top 16 seed when he'll take on either Rafa, Kei, Thiem or Tsitsipas on clay. That would only result in 45 points.

On the other hand, he would have had a much better chance to make the semis or beyond in his home event considering the field over there.

Very weird decision, esp cuz the future of the tourny in Budapest is unknown, so as a local you'd prob wanna play there as many years as possible. Whereas he always would have been able to play in Barcelona in the future if for whatever reason the event in Budapest is switched to another city.

Really wonder why Fucsovics chose to play here instead of his home event in Budapest
Fucsovics (along Timea Babos) have an ongoing dispute with the Hungarian Tennis Federation (I don't really know the specifics) so they're both boycotting them: Babos also didn't play Budapest earlier in the year, and they both haven't played Davis/Fed Cup the last couple of times.

Lol what are we here, in kindergarten?! They should take business/politics aside and just enjoy themselves in the 1 rare home event they have during the year.

There are so many fans that I'm sure would have loved to watch them play, this enough should have been well worth signing up for despite of some disagreements they may have behind the scenes.

Reminds me of another kindergarten act when Yannick Noah, the CAPTIAN of the French DC team, refused to place Gilles Simon or maybe another player in the French lineup in the FINALS of Davis Cup last year just cuz "they don't like each other". My goodness, that decision led the whole nation to suffer a huge loss on the biggest of occasions on home soil.

People need to learn to take personal/political & ego issues aside and just play every now & then for something greater than yourself.
