Ferrero's player continues to impress winning challengers at 17. Is he Spain's next big thing? Certainly the country's most talented teen since Rafa. Funny thing is there were a couple of Swiss players playing Final at RG:unsure:...any Serbian a year or two younger lurking around?

My favorite part was when Dzumhur went on a prolonged rant against the umpire during the changeover at 5-2 second set because Alcaraz was vamosing his unforced errors. My second favorite part was when Dzumhur smashed a racquet after Alcaraz hit an ace to go up 3-0 in the third

There were Swiss players competing in the finals because they did not turn professional like Alcaraz, Musetti, Mochizuki, Nava, Kodat, Damm and Rune who won it last year. Once you turn professional you can no longer compete in junior events including Junior Grand Slams where the players don’t get any prize money. But yeah perhaps they should change the rules on that. After all the winner is the Junior Grand Slam Champion and not Amateur Junior Grand Slam champion. Imagine if all the players listed above had competed at the tournament.

We all know all that. Just reminded the fact the Stan and Roger both won Junior slams and Nadal won challengers during his teens.

Another good win for the young Spaniard. I think next year he’ll probably win his first ATP title. Great prospect.
