You always worry when both players have injury timeouts at the same time what Tipsa was trying to fix but he didn't, this time. :)

Great effort by Ducky! Unlucky not to get that third set. The double fault in the tibreaker at 5-5 really cost him.

Duckworth is gonna be good. Real good. These sort of prospects that have never gotten the exposure Berankis or Young have gotten have been overlooked.

Tipsy-Gasquet R3 is going to be great

Disgusting match from Fixarevic, errors all over the place....getting chokey and tense against a rank 250 player. What a top 10 player . That said, Ducky did play pretty good at times....had he reduced his errors in important moments, he probably could have won in 4 sets rather than the inverse result.

Gasquet will likely smoke Tipsy 6-1, 6-3, 6-0.

together alone Tomic and Duckworth will pretty much deliver tennis from the current devastation that an extended weak era can do to any sport...

they both seem to be displaying several new standards in the dynamic skill set that will be required for life on tour in the future and also answer questions of why the game of tennis was invented...

Tomic and Duckworth the future of tennis? That doesn't even SOUND like it could be plausible. Their names are only suitable for the circus.

I was impressed by this kid in the pre-AO tournaments already and I'm more impressed now. Hope he keeps it up. He's such a natural athlete: moves well, generates pace, nice technique, incredibly crisp volleys compared to the tour standard.

You can tell someone has talent when they have such a nice serve and aren't that tall. Just needs to improve the backhand, it let him down too often.

Meanwhile, Tipsarevic did well to weather the early storm and played well in crucial moments. Signs of the maturity that he has discovered during the past year.
