Acceptance Criteria:
Australian Open Playoff – Men’s Event (24 positions available)
1. All athletes ranked ATP 250 or better will be accepted*
2. 18s Optus Australian Championships–Winners
3. Remaining positions default to wildcards

* Based on Monday 21st November 2011 rankings release

Alternates will be chosen by the Wildcard Selectors. Alternates must sign-in at least 30 minutes prior to the relevant first scheduled match on Tuesday 6th December 2011. Alternates must sign-in to be eligible for the daily per diem.

final

Winner will receive main draw entry into 2012 Australian Open.

All matches will be the Best of three (3) tie-break sets, with the following exceptions:
Men’s Final: Best of five (5) sets, first four tie-break sets, fifth set advantage

There was a livestream for it last year and it was really fun to watch. Hopefully this year, they'll stream it too.

^ JP has played but I'm not sure of the result just yet. He was up a break in the 1st set but then I had to leave and missed the match. Judging by how far along the Groth/Peers match is though, I'd say JP managed to pull through in straight sets. They are usually very good at updating the results on their twitter page but they haven't done so as yet...

My vote of confidence goes to an old mate, Matty Barton.

Duckworth should find this a handy experience. Surprised he's been playing so many clay futures this year..

It would be great if Barton and Ducky could square off in the QF. They are very good mates and grew up playing each other.

Matty is currently 5-2 up against Moore.
