Huge win for the 21 year old Krajicek.

Coming from a set down, and an early break down in the 2nd, and winning in 3, saving 6 break points in the 3rd. Clutch as hell.

He plays Nick Monroe for a chance to make it to the main draw.

he had a good start of the year in futures already.

Does he have any connection with Richard Krajicek ?

He just beat Nick Monroe and qualifies for the Main Draw :yeah: 3-6, 7-6(6), 6-3. He was down a break again in the 2nd, not sure if he saved any match points, and again comes through. Two CLUTCH wins for Krajicek.

He will play either Melzer, Kevin Anderson, Bogomolov, or Karlovic in the first round.

Well the stats would say so.

2 ace, 2 DF, 51% 1st serve, 72% 1st serve points won, 55% 2nd serve points won.

2 ace, 6 DF, 58% 1st serve, 67% 1st serve points won, 51% 2nd serve points won.

A few more DF in the Monroe match, but a healthy 2nd serve points won stat.

This would suggest he has a good 1st serve, but needs to pick up the % a few points. And a very reliable 2nd serve, both backed with a solid ground game.

But mentally he has impressed me the most.

I watched this kid years ago in US Open juniors. I didn't think he's related to the "real" Krajicek. He's a lefty and had a decent serve at the time. He was attacking the net every now and then but wasn't playing serve and volley. Overall, he seemed mediocre at the time.

No weapons McGee. Only fun to watch if you are a longhorn alum.
