And Acasuso??? He is the worst in our history. Please Acasuso, retire now!! He can´t play that matchs which are so important..
I believe that EDUARDO SCHWANK or Juan Monaco, would play better than Acasuso...

Re: Auckland Entry List (updated December 2, 2008)

It was a mix-up

Tennis: Gulbis will play in Auckland

Latvian star Ernests Gulbis is set to stay put and play in next month's Heineken Open in Auckland.

Gulbis' name appeared on entry lists for both the Auckland ATP event and the AAMI Classic exhibition event in Melbourne.

His US-based agent Tom Ross says there has clearly been a mix up, but once a player enters an ATP tournament, it takes precedence over exhibitions. Ross says what is good news for Auckland is bad news for AAMI Classic tournament director Colin Stubbs.

The 20-year-old Latvian player is one of the big drawcards for Auckland, despite his ranking just outside the world's top 50. Gulbis rose to prominence this year by reaching the quarter-finals at the French Open.

Tennis: Tug of war looms over rising Latvian star

A tug of war could be developing between Auckland's Heineken Tennis Open and Melbourne's AAMI Classic over Latvian star Ernests Gulbis.

The 20-year-old was announced several months ago as part of the eight man field for the Melbourne exhibition event at Kooyong. Last week his name was included on the official entry list for Auckland's ATP showcase.

Heineken Open tournament director Richard Palmer is adamant Gulbis will be playing in Auckland. He says Gulbis is on their list, is confirmed and they have heard nothing to the contrary.

However an AAMI Classic spokeswoman says as far as she is concerned Gulbis is still playing in Melbourne.

I'd guess King-Turner is in with a fair chance for a WC as well. And he should be getting one in doubles as well.
