Some of these seedings seem a bit wrong to me. I didn't realise Karlovic was ranked higher than Willy. Would of been nice if he got the 8th seed a had a bye in the 1st round.

After the match.

GUILLERMO CAÑAS

“Last year I was playing at a very high level, but this year I’ve had problems with my wrist and so my expectations are not as high.”

“I love this tournament, I feel very comfortable playing in Barcelona on clay and I would love to return to the final and play Rafa once again.”

“I feel good, I’m positive and want to fight, so I have to take advantage of that.”

Well, as long as the wrist is fine, it's ok with me no matter the result.

Last year he had a walkover on Kolya in the quarters and the 2008 draw isn't easy so if there is a way to the final it will be a difficult one, but as long as the positive attitude is there it is a good thing :)

Vamos Willy! :yeah:

Congrats Willy. I'm happy he is not playing doubles so he can rest his wrist and not get over tired. Good luck for the 2nd round. At least he has a rest day on Tuesday. I like his positive attitude.

Well done Willy :D

Today will be a lot more difficult. Robredo isn't exactly a good match up for Willy and he has the home crowd.

Vamos Willy!!! :yeah:

No scoreboard watching and he lost but at least he made more of a match in the 2nd set. Not a good day for the Argies with Nalby losing as well. He is going to lose a lot of points. Gonzo could win though so all is not lost.

I watched it on Bwin but the stream sucked

He raised his level in the second set but too late.

Robredo is the kind of player whose style doesn't suit Willy at all. When he has to play him I always go :scared: (same goes for Davydenko)

As for Nalby losing, well I adore Stan so that's a comfort ;)
