Way to Go Jarkko. Fish was on fire in the beginning, but Jarkko just stole his thunder.

Fish needs to make some mental adjustments. Better luck next time.

Expected win for Jarkko. He had too much trouble to outplay the mug in the first two sets, but then he got the expected control. :yeah:

I missed the beginning of the third set, so why was Fish so angry with the umpire in the first game?

For the crowd? The crowd was 90% behind Nieminen, only a handful of USA supporters.

Fish got a code violation because he tossed or hit a ball at a linesman who had just ruled against him. According to Fish, it was an accident. Really, Fish just made a mountain of a molehill, even if he got a violation, he should've been able to move on faster than he was (he was still steaming 4 games later).

Lol, the crowd was fired up and cheering like hell all the time, the atmosphere seemed great. One of the better matches of the day for sure.

I was at the match and had a lot of fun, though more from the crowd than the match itself.

Nieminen was solid and not much more, after he won the 2nd set breaker. Fish went off and his forehand smelt like rotten fish.
