yet another retirement for Del Potro

he had problems in his vertebrae

He had a bad back and was serving in the second set at 140-50 km/h serves, rolling them in. If he keeps throwing in the towel like this I'm going to find it hard to take our relationship further.

Retirement is Del Potro's middle name.

Once upon a time, Argentinian players were warriors and had a "never surrender" attitude... :rolleyes:

Del Potro off to a flyer in terms of retirements for '08. Somebody call a fitness guru for this kid seems to break down a lot.

Del Potro damaged his lower back in training before the start of the season. They are waiting for results of scans at the moment, bu they think it is some kind of fracture in one of the vertebrae, and will retire surgery with at least 3 months off. I know he has a history of retirements, and (like tripb19), my patience with it has also run very thin, - but in this case it is genuine. He has also split with his coach ad physical trainer and has a lot of problems right now.
