Dimitrov lacking intensity and sacrificing his shot selection for his hot shot attempts (as usual). Lacko should have taken this to five.

So much nonsense in so few words. GJ!
That's leng jai for you.

Good workout for Grigor. Not always convinving and it was disappointing he lost his lead in the 4th set but he recovered well and closed it out. He has too much game for Lacko and was never likely to be threatened here.

He needs to raise his level a bit in the next round against Marcos.

Is this a race or something? I wrote something that has a chance to happen even if is small. You write ugly lies.
The OP implied that Dimitrov scraping past Lacko was becouse he is the champion of tennis. If that isn't the dumbest thing I've read all day I don't now what is.

Too great the AO champion. Would have bagelled Lacko if Lacko wasn't injured. His B'day should be declared as 'International Hotshot Attempt Day".

I really dislike what Dimitrov's game is becoming.

He should get rid of Rasheed as soon as possible, who's clearly preventing him from having a chance of winning a Slam.
I've noticed with Rasheed that Dimitrov plays a less electric and more grindy safe game

it will work against an error fest crazy player like Lacko, but in my opinion he won't ever come close to winning a slam by 'playing it safe'

prior to Rasheed Grigor was far more aggressive and potent. you saw more of the 'hotshots' and low margin activity. he still attempts hot shots here and there but in general his game is getting too defensive for my tastes. he can't outrun the best players and will get destroyed against someone who has better legs like Ferrer. Rasheed is too obsessed with fitness, as if simply running fast will get the win in tennis

Your right, but maybe he need to do next best thing and add a tactician coach
it's hard to really make a player understand and play competently with strategy when they are just naturally so poor at it. Dimitrov doesn't seem to have much of a brain in terms of making split second decisions and/or adjusting his game mid match

which is why the only especially potent type of game he can play (in my opinion) is a very aggressive big shot type. he has to take a lot of risks if he wants to succeed in the big events, something he does less of now than in the past. getting more consistent results is irrelevant if you plateu at a certain level. sure your ranking will improve but performance at slams won't. I say Grigor goes out next round to Baghdatis
