That was one of the best performaces I've ever seen from Lee. His returning was deadly, he made the first volley so difficult for Guccione, and his ball striking was as good as I've ever seen from him. This new surface should suit Lee's game better than the rebound ace.
Only saw the end of this match as i was joe on court 2 but disappointing, just disappointing to be able to hear the umpire from MCA, 6-3 Guccione and then loses the next 5 points. Guccione struggled out there, hopefully this isn't a sign for the rest of the year
The Gooch may be the biggest "tease" in tennis. He seems to always to do well in the early tourneys before the AO...but then he crashes and burns for the remainder of the year. To lose in the manner he had...I was SO wrong. I thought he could go far with his game. Yeah, far with respect to distance from the tourney sight. After the set, he simply went on walkabout.
