Zhang really needs to improve his footwork, especially on the fh side, it's really poor.. It's a shame because he has potential, and I would like a chinese guy to do well.

Hewitt was too solid today, but I can't see him beating BB if he maintains this level. As is often the case, he looked to be in pain. When not in rallies he moved awkwardly..

Wow Zhang was horrible, i mean he couldn´t keep ball in play if he hit little bit harder, Hewitt was pretty bad himself, old man is done, no 1st serves, 2nd is just WTA serve really, no power on his groundstrokes if Zhang would be able to hit court and not every 3rd FH outside of court he would have won easily this. I wonder if Lleyton call it career after 2nd round loss even don´t know who he is playing next but with this level can ´t see him going further to R3

Agree with you, his serve seems to be pretty good, powerfull groundstrokes, but shot selection and footwork are horrible, also would love to see chinese player do great, maybe top 50 in future so more chinese can play maybe Li Na like revolution in tennis there

Great to see Lleyton get a win at what is almost certainly his final AO campaign. Becker is a significant step up in class though.

I couldn't sleep well last night and got up at 3am in the morning only to watch this utter disgust. Horrible match, no consistency whatsoever. So many up and downs especially from 18. Lleyton was not able to maintain his level for more than 30 minutes. Unless 18 saves himself from brainless moonballing basher mode and improve his footwork I can't see him breaking into top 100 throughout his career.

I saw Zheng trying to qualify for the US Open a couple of years ago. He was very inconsistent. Giving up a set bodes trouble for Hewitt in my opinion.
