Emil shines the most when he can steam roll mugs that give him rhytm. He is not a great grinder. But when he comes into his rhytm he can be very good. Several of his challenger wins and finals have come with him winning a tight three setter in the first round and then steamrolling everyone else in the draw. His groundstrokes are very good but he needs to get dialed in.

Funny how he so quickly has gone from a "who is that?" to apparently "overhyped". I guess being excited about a young prospect is an unforgiveable sin. This time last year he was playing futures tournaments, now its apparently a flop when he fails to qualify for a slam. Thats what you get for beating a high profile guy like Thiem I guess. That and a genious diagnosis as a "brainless ballbasher" from the great minds of MTF because he has a very good forehand (with quite a lot of variety btw) that he can dominate with. Oh well, he wont have to qualify for the next one with his points and having nothing but futures points to defend.

Dissappointing preformance, but blips are to be expected
