Disgusting scared pushfing from Dim&Droll all match, he's such a mental mug it's unbelievable... sad to know you're weak in the knees yet helpless to change that. Paul cramped up a bit early in the fifth but soldiered on like a champ.

Most overanked player ever shouldn't even be seeded if not for his gargantuan luck at US Open :ROFLMAO:
If Tommy didn't start choking this would've been a straight set win, in the end the way better player rightfully won.

Shame when he served for the match, but next round would have been mission impossible at the moment.

I never understood why Grigor has so many haters on here. Is it because of the Fed comparisons? Or that he was supposed to be the best? Is it his massive popularity? Or his famous girlfriends? So strange considering his tennis is beautiful and he's the nicest guy on tour.

It's one thing to make an upset, but it's another to have a 2-0 lead, almost lose it, but find the rest of your energy to grab the win that feels you "deserve" to have.

only saw the 4th set TB and last set. it looked like Dimi got too passive towards the end, and Tommy took the bull by the horns, playing very courageous tennis!

Amazing grit from Paul. The guy played to win even when he was struggling physically late in the match and Dimitrov had the breaks on him twice in the fifth. The TB has to be some of the sweetest run of pts, guy was on fire.
Paul should've finished the match in straight sets, much better player. Guy is very talented, but looks too relaxed/careless at times.
I actually like that a lot. It's hard to tell with him, he doesn't exude much emotion haha.
Fun to watch though, he's got a lot to his game than meets the eye. And he's fairly easy on the eye in other ways too.

Therein lies the problem, Dimitrov is the poster boi for nice guys finishing last. For the extent of natural talent he possesses, his career has been extremely disappointing and his choking instances innumerable. It's very sad and appalling at the same time to see him mugging it up on court once again.

He's an underachiever. When you get called Baby Fed, and then do nothing with that title, then people think you are a fraud. Compare what Grigor gets out of his talent, vs someone like Diego. That's why Grigor gets hate here.

Dimitrov was definitely too passive late in the fifth set and certainly had nothing to hurt Paul with in the TB. Paul was controlling most of the pts, Dimitrov trying to slice and scramble his way out of trouble, but overwhelmed by Paul's shot selections and placement.

Even more impressive is that Paul played a 4-set match yesterday, while Dimitrov had a day of rest.
Dimitrov putting all his eggs on a choke and tiredness from his opponent. Good thing he wasn't reward, guy was pushing for errors like desperate.
