Yes and as usual it was boring as hell. The only reason to watch it is because of Andy-Andre, imo. They know how to ham it up for the crowd and each year they've had some great, funny moments. Today: Andre was trash talking Andy saying "Come on give it to me! I'm inside the baseline!" So Andy rips a 144 mph serve and Andre returns it for a winner His team high fives him, crowd goes nuts, and Andy jumps the net, falls on his knees and Andre. Heh. Good boy, Andy. You know who The Man is. :devil: :lol:

I don't think it was good just because of Andre-Andy. I liked watching the Mixed Doubles and the part where they had to hit targets. Overall it was entertaining just seeing how they played and the shot making. I don't think the hamming it up is everything.......It's always the routine with those jokes.

I missed the mixed doubles. I have one question: Do they bring Kournikova out of Cryonics once a year to appear at the US Open? :lol:

They also showed JMac and Ivan hosting a tennis clinic held in the city. Ivan may have dominated JMac in the day, but now he's starting to look like JMac's dad :lol: JMac really hasn't changed in looks except for the hair. Does anyone know if he won that tournament last weekend?

Finally, PMac went over the men's draw. He said "anyone who drew Federer has a bad draw" :lol: He said that only Ferrero could give Federer a match. He said Andy had a good draw but may be troubled by Gasquet.

The tennis itself was alright. And Andre's great at these kind of things. He know how to ham it up for the crowd. He did the same thing in Indian Wells at the tsunami benefit.

I completely agree. They understand that the audience is 15,000 screaming kids who enjoyed the music and the goofiness. I felt they were non-responsive when the girls were playing fairly seriously but when the silly boys came out, they sprang to life.

I thought it was fine. I watched the entire thing. and Clijsters did have a lot of fun laughing. when andre and andy were on the court it was kind of hilarious that andre would say things, probably to distract andy. what was also hilarious was when they kept tying until andy won, the crowd went wild. i had a fun time watching.

Couldn't agree more. Seems like Andy and Andre are great with crowds, and those two seem to love hamming it up in front of a big crowd like that. I nearly fell asleep during the women's singles...and if it hadn't been for Rafa, I would have fallen asleep during the mixed doubles too. :shrug:
