It seems there is a problem for me with MTF-ads.

Whenever I come to a place on MTF where an ad normally would be shown, I get redirected to an obvious scam-site (wanting to hand me a free iPhone, after answering some question, and then, obviously, paying for the delivery :sneaky:).

This is annoying, as I cannot do much browsing before I get redirected this way. Since I don't have the same problem anywhere but at MTF, I would assume that this is not a malware problem on my computer.

On the other hand, the fact that no one else has posted about this, suggests that it might be a problem at my end after all. So, has anybody else experienced this problem? If so, what is the quickest way to solve it? It does not seem to be browser dependent, as both firefox, chrome, and Microsoft edge behave the same.

I use AdblockPlus and uBlock under Chrome and see zero ads, on PC.
Similarly Adguard under Firefox, no redirection there either.

Thanks to @Djoker and @Monsi for the suggestions.

I'm not sure my description of the problem (the coupling to seeing the ads, that is) was entirely correct. Maybe I just got redirected randomly after a short time when entering certain threads. My problem seems to have been solved after deleting the cookies from the MTF-pages, though. Hopefully, it stays that way.

But using ad-blockers might be a good idea anyway, so good input.

MTF would have been unusable for me without adblockers. I can second uBlock Origin in particular for the Chrome browser.

Had this problem on my mobile before, think an adblocker fixed it for me. I mean ads are still okayish, but this redirecting really hampers the functionality.

I can’t go to MTF at work because all these gay underwear ads makes it look like I’m watching gay porn at work

That's what your private mobile is for, not your work PC/laptop!

I've been having this problem on mobiles for years, only on MTF and TF. Sometimes it's okay for a few months, but currently the redirections are happening again.
