Rafa just said he's very pessimistic about the season resume due to regular international travelling: "I Am Very Pessimistic" - Rafael Nadal
He's not the only one assuming tennis will be one of the last sports to come back, Andy said it as well.

Would it be viable to have most pro tennis players long-term installed in a single country (maybe Germany?), with good venues close to each other and all surfaces available, so we could have regular tennis, maybe even in a format close to a football league?

Between being in Germany* and not playing tennis/getting paid, I'm pretty sure what players would choose.

* doesn't have to be Germany, just any country with good venues, with at least clay+hard. Spain for example could be an option as well, but considering it's one of the most affected countries, might not be the best. France should be ok.

Well another possibility is something like players with virtual reality helmet on real courts in national centers.

Strict rules and referees.

No travelling. No contamination. Virtual court with holograms to watch for crowds on screens. Enforced pay per view.

Not sure it is a very far future.

France stats are even worse than Spain. And it is slowering slower.

And anyway France Governement said they will be extremly strict with gathering : no wedding allowed, no more than 10 people in the same place (friend or family gathering for lunch...), no more than 20 people in cemeteries.

They cancelled 2020 football and said they will say later if 2021 football is allowed from September 2020.

Not sure they will let any tennis to be played when football is way more popular here.

Not sure either they will let strangers in when France cannot earn any money from those type of tournaments.

Late 2021 when everybody got vaccined or when we achieved herd immunity at the end of the fifth lockdown is a better target for tennis to resume but we can hope for miracles....
