I saw that haha, well done

lel. karl is a spaniard, what did you guys expected? :spit: 😂
Yes I remember when Nadal destroyed some female journalist on equal prize money in Madrid some years ago, was great to see

Can he learn something from watching women's tennis? I doubt it.
Moonballing.
Better utilization of grunts/shrieks.
Having cellulite is perfectly OK for a pro athlete.
The power of eyeliner.
Losing to random journeymen at Slams is normal.
.....

Oh Carlos... You could at least help promote the women's game a bit.

I always have the same response when I hear people talk about supporting women's football (for example) in Australia: if more women spectators took an interest there wouldn't be any viewing or attendance issues.

Instead the media blames men for not taking an interest.

Basically if all the people that complain about the attendance were to attend themselves there would be no issue to begin with. They don't really care though, they just want something to complain about without actually helping be the solution.

I thought only Nadal is intellectually limited but it appears Carlos is too. Shame. At least people think he is “cute” and “cute” people can get away with a lot more than non-cute people .

Carlos is not good looking like Dull in his baby years. This will not bode well for him long term. The Big 3 were ambassadors for the game. Much to learn, young padawan has, because you don’t get anointed by looks as a male.

So what… it’s a well known fact that more people tune in to watch men’s tennis over women’s, when Serena was playing I was invested, but now you couldn’t pay me to watch it.
I accept people may not like women’s tennis for various reasons. But I don’t believe them if they say they don’t know any of the players. Even my 87 year old grandmother who only ever tunes into the finals of Wimbledon, nothing else, knows who several are.

If he wanted to throw out a few female tennis stars names, he certainly could have. He probably doesn't particularly watch women playing in reality, or doesn't want to answer that question for a reason. Carlitos comes across as being too honest to a fault.

I have set up my clock and turned on my TV for more than decade to watch Fedalovicray, but never did the same for Serena or Sharapova during the same time.

I think he is being genuine here. He didn't name anyone on the WTA side not because he forgot all the players' names on the WTA side, nor that he doesn't want to cause drama, but because he genuinely doesn't have anyone specific that he watches as opposed to on the men's side in which he competes on. That doesn't mean he doesn't watch WTA it just means he watches whoever that's on the TV playing. These players have really tight schedule so he probably watches during recovery or stretching or on the treadmill and whoever is playing on the TV, ATP or WTA, he would watch.

I doubt that he forgot all the names on the WTA side, even just one, Iga, Aryna, Coco, it's easy there's no way he doesn't even remember one. The drama thing is also easily avoided, just say Iga or Sabalenka, or some Spanish players, those are some of the safest ones, but he didn't say that. And so my only conclusion after watching that post match interview, is he genuinely doesn't have anyone that he would watch specifically, but that doesn't mean he doesn't watch WTA, he would watch whatever that is on, and that's exactly what he said.
