I am amazed at how Mannarino has managed to have the career he's had. He is unable to create any sort of power, any shots, and looks like a club player more than a World Tour player in all departments.
Plus, he has a big mouth on Twitter and is involved in cat fights every now and then.
I remember a few poor top 100 vulturing their way through such a high level of world's tennis, but I can't remember anyone worse than Mannarino, from a sheerly tennistic viewpoint.

Would you agree with that, or do you have any top 100 worse than him in mind?

no he's not. i will say again that he will probably never do well during the first half of the year. he's just not good at all on slower courts. his game works best on grass and indoor hard courts, courts that are faster.

he should start making decent results again after the french

he's really no different than the clay court specialists that vulture on the clay courts and then struggle to do anything at any other time of year.

Martin Alund- 1 SF 250, only two GS main draws.(1R)

Challenger
w/l percentage 120-126.

Without challenger title.

:spit: The guy pushed Nadal to a third set on clay in that Semifinal playing on a very good level of play. Watch it yourself

And before bringing up Nadal was just coming back from injury, only 3 players in 13 matches managed to take sets off Nadal during Viña-Sao Paulo-Acapulco comeback: Berlocq, Zeballos (beat him) and Alund.

I would say this rules him out of the worst top100 ever discussion :hatoff:

Yeah I agree, if you take the politics out of it. You do have to be a very good tennis player to take a set off nadal on clay, regardless of his condition and form.

No, you are exaggarating. Mannarino is actually able to produce some results on grass (do not forget grass is ideal for players with similar style, not only for huge servers). He looks fine there. I am always saying grasscourters sometimes looks sloopy on clay.

Not even remotely close from any way of looking at it. Calling a guy who once reached the top 50 in the world the worst top 100 ever is stupid, and this is putting it kindly.

Santoro. Once got in the top 20. Staggering loss percentage that guy had.
How can a guy with 6 titles (and Davis Cup), a top 20 placing, grand slam quarter-finalist, quite a few 4R/3R appearances, beat world number 1 players like Safin (7 times), Kuerten (once), Becker (once), Agassi (3 times), Rafter (once), Sampras (3 times), Federer (2 times), Roddick (once), Djokovic (once), Edberg (once)....

be the worst top 100 player ever?
