Hewitt two sets to the good up. Acacuso being his normal self.. which is to say booming shots from everywhere and no concept of point construction. Another in the long line of South Americans that play this way (Gonzalez/Calleri even Gaudio to an extent).

Hewitt is doing just what he needs to do to win. Hold serve.. go into a tiebreak and wait for the mistakes to flow. Ah well.. it's entertaining enough to watch as long as u're not a diehard Acacuso fan I guess .

the thing is he could do so much better. he's got a great forehand that can do damage.. a backhand very like Gaudio's that can also do damage. huge serve. BUT and this is a HUGE BUT, he just seems to get too impatient. or maybe it's a machismo thing.. I'm going to beat u with sheer power and nothing else.

Good play by Hewitt so far, he just needs to finish it and then unleash a huge C'MONN!!! Especially after surviving the first two sets where Acasuso could have won at least one of them if he was a bit more concentrated and ready in the tiebreak.

Acasuso did very well this match with his big serves and huge winners, especially attacking too short balls on his forehand side where Hewitt could nothing about that.

Jose lost it really in those first two sets when his shots were going in and he was holding serve. However on the Hewitt service games, he was really not getting enough balls back in play or going for too low percentage shots. In the third after the break, the game was basically done and dusted.

Never let Acasuso win on hardcourt and fastcourts. Only has big serve and big forehand, not fitness, strength or cleverness like Hewitt.
