Stan continues his good momentum from Rotterdam, with a bit of drama in the last quarter of the match. Very solid and Harrison was playing good, and surprisingly calm from the American. Stan was able to put pressure at the start with breaks which makes it easier for him to rip it during his service games.

Had one of his recent trash games though 4-2 in the 2nd Set, and the momentum was seemingly uncertain. Still, he managed to hold up to the TB and was able to clinch it. 1st MP was interesting as he lost a point replayed when he could've won but happy that he sooner won the match. Another match for Stan for a chance of maybe getting a seed for Indian Wells.

Harrison was in poor sportmanship there , Stan had won the point before the linesman bad call or at roughly the same time  it was clearly unreturnable

yeah he literally stopped playing. all good in the end. unnecessary from stan to get broken in the second set... still too many unforced errors in his game. but it feels like he has stanimal in him once more. I can see him winning a major soon.

Stan did well enough in the TB to win it in two after blowing a lead. Specially to keep his cool after a lil' argument with the umpire about his call on that first MP. Nice handshake and all well between the two players.
Ryan  got to qualify here again. He seems to like Acapulco. Wish he could've drawn someone else instead of Stan the Rising Man.

For this he will most likely need two more wins, including one against Nadal. But in any case, the next really important tournament for him to be seeded will be RG, and this he will easily achieve with almost nothing to defend until then.

Stan just 10 away now. Amazing given how many matches behind he was at 25. He has 315 wins now after the age of 25. Just 175 wins before, he was about 75 wins from 500, and was on pace for just 350 wins in his career.
