Very entertaining and highly quality match between the two friends. The crowd were getting into it.

Lucho had 6 break points in the 1st game, but was unable to convert. They were both hitting the ball very well and to the corners.

There was no moonballing here, just very hard fought points and Calleri choosing poor moments when to come into the net and making some errors on big points.

Horna was aggressive and used his serve well, fought very hard and was able to take the one chance in the 3rd set that he had to break, just like Calleri did in the 2nd set.

The game Lucho broke, he was down 40-15 and fought very hard to get it back to deuce.

He actually made a backhand pass, which is not always the way with him and at 30 all serving for the match. He hits a huge off forehand winner, when it would have been easier to be passive.

That was an incredible game. The backhand lob was great, slightly lucky but :worship:

Great match. Hopefully Horna can stay fit this season and climb the rankings.

There was one great point, where Lucho hits a dropshot and then Calleri bunts the forehand up the line.
- Lucho hit's the backhand lob and moves forward, then Calleri hits a low ball.
- Lucho hits a short volley which Calleri reaches and goes crosscourt with a volley into the open court and Calleri hits a backhand, then Lucho hits a drop volley winner.

Definitely point of the match. Cheeky smile from both afterwards. Summed up the match. Both guys were really giving it everything, high quality stuff, but alot of respect.

Been a good couple of weeks seeing Chucho, Calleri, Horna, Nalby, and even Almagro all finding some form, and all playing aggressive tennis. I hope it continues.

Horna is good enough to be top 60 if he can go through a year without injury.

He said after DC, that he wanted rebuild his ranking to where it should be and he is on the way there. His return of serve is the big problem.

He and Calleri are playing doubles later as well, but they must be sick of the matches this year.

The dream team of Lucho/Calleri thumped the number 1 seeds Cernak/Friedl 6-4 6-2.
