Another good list of claycourt specialists here in Mexico.

Again the title is really open!

Cañas say yesterday that there is a 99% chance that he can play Acapulco.

Considering the money prize this tournament gives ($794k vs $466k from Buenos Aires for instance)the field is a crap. We keep getting the same claycourt-money-hunters we ALWAYS get.

They should move this to hardcourts so we got players who are preparing for IW and Miami instead of specialists collecting easy money.

Well actually we have the US hardcourt tournaments at this part of the year so...¿why the players would want another one?

It gives 2x the money they give in Zagreb, and about the same they give in Memphis... I think we could get a much more decent field that way.

Or they could just lower the prize money... they'd get the same field anyway.

Well i got your point and you are totally right, it's sad, but true...

At least you got Nalbandian, Moya, Monaco, Cañas, they are good players, but it would be better if Nadal, Davydenko and some other good claycourt players play the latin american tour...
