Re: New Updated ATP Ranks Mon 21st

Alex is pretty much down to below 80 or so

Ferrero will be #1 if he wins Kitzbuhel

And then next week Agassi has semifinalist points to defend as he plays in Washington, while Ferrero will have no points to defend if he plays Sopot. :D

Might I also point out that when Cincy points come off, Roddick and Coria will more than likely replace Moya and Hewitt in the top 5...at least temporarily. Assuming Roddick defends some of his Canada points and Coria does well in at least one more tournament.

It would definitely be strange to see Hewitt ranked out of the top 10, but it seems it most likely will happen.

In any case, I enjoy it when the rankings change and are close... should be interesting to see how it all plays out up to the US Open

Where are those who said that
Agassi and Hewitt were #1 and #2, so they'll destroy their opposition?
Looks like easy draws inflated their rankings and egos as well as their
fans'. When they go on grass and clay, they get outsmarted in long matches
by underrated opponents!
Agassi and Hewitt are sore losers, and people won't accept that
they're not as versatile and strong as they claim.
Agassi's not a top 5 player of all time because if his career started
2 years ago, he wouldn't be a top 5 player like a decade ago.
Hewitt has only his skinny legs to handle ball retrieving, but he has
little power or variety on all surfaces.

Washington (48 draw, also been reduced to just a IS event with top pts 40/200)
Los Angeles (32 draw, pts 35/175)

oh right .

i don't think the top players who are eligible for the TMS can add a 6th optional on.

lmao....this is by far, the best thing that I have read all day. GOLD. Absolute GOLD this comment is :D *rolls on the floor*

1) Andre had won the career grand slam, something that few others have done, by 1999. By my math, 1999 was 4 years ago. Might I suggest a calculator?

2) Andre was a top 5 player 10 years ago - although perhaps not to the day, he was winning slams 10 years ago.

GOLD :D

Maybe you don't understand that competition a few years ago was not at the level of today.

Do you really believe that Agassi between 22-27 could win
U. S. Open, Wimbledon and French Open with Ferrero, Federer, Safin, Roddick in his draw in 2003?

A moron could see the comfortable draws he got when he won his last 2 Australian
Open. Clement and
Schuettler weren't exactly threatening him in Australia. If he hadn't won the Australian, his ranking would
be 4 or 5.
