I'm not a big fan of both Andre and the potato, but I prefer seeing Andre taking the topspot. That is of course till Marat takes over by the end of the year.

Agassi has the momentum, I think he will get to #1 in the next few months. But he only cares about year end #1 bcos that's what people used to measure him against Sampras. He has a good chance of achieving this goal this year.

But Hewitt is still #1 at the moment and for the past 12-15 months. I don't know much about Agassi's career, anyone knows how many consecutive months he was #1 in the past?

I hope Hewitt can turn it on!! He doesn't have a whole lot to defend in the clay season, so hopefully he can stay healthy and play well. I think Agassi could become selective with his tournaments so he won't burn out, but unfortunately, I think Hewitt may do the same...

Andre will probably become #1 for a while but he won't end the year #1.

Lleyton will be right up there for the whole year.

Hopefully, Marat can get up there too.

Andre has won tennis masters series and a grand slam on clay in the past few years.

He's also reached a couple finals to RG, when he was roughly Hewitt's age.

What is so funny?

Hewitt's clay titles:
1) 1999-05-03 Delray Beach, Florida

Andre's clay titles (we'll be fair and only consider titles from 1999):
1)1999-05-24 Roland Garros at Paris
2)2002-05-06 Rome

Let's also examine their last two losses at Roland Garros, just for kicks!

Hewitt:
2001 Juan Carlos Ferrero QF 6-4 6-2 6-1
2002 Guillermo Canas R16 6-7(1) 7-6(13) 6-4 6-3

Agassi:
2001 Sebastian Grosjean QF 1-6 6-1 6-1 6-3
2002 Juan Carlos Ferrero QF 6-3 5-7 7-5 6-3

While we're at it, lets compare their clay points from the past season as well (those counted towards their ranking) :)

Hewitt - 90
Agassi - 165

Hewitt btw, played all three masters series on clay - Andre played one.
