He was born in 1987 and the greatest streak in tennis history ends at 387. Coincidence? I think not.

It's been always Djokovic's destiny to rule.

Happy birthday to the one true king! :hatoff:

One burning ambition
One strong belief
One lonely walk out on court, day after day
One more, "okay, I lost, deal with it"
One more, "okay, I won, don't get complacent"
One more, ignore the critics
One more, humbled by the support of fans
One more, in spite of everything

Until you become
The One

Can still get to 400 weeks and a mythical 8th YE #1

But yes he already stands on top of the mountain

Only question is how tall the mountain will ultimately be

Fine achievement indeed. Djokovic has shattered all records, he deserves his name on the list of Immortals. Tennis has evolved a lot thanks to him.

Thanks for CCing me, dude.

400 and #8 would be eternal numbers (even if they are beaten one day).

The window for that is closing a bit, now that Medvedev is also in the mix.

Very unfortunate circumstances in the last few years, yes

I think some calculations have him at 414 weeks including the 22 frozen and rankings with Wimbledon points included

But he has the rest of this season imo to get his weeks at #1. After this year it will only get more difficult

Yes, it is this year or never

not only W22 points but also bans in USO, can and cinci 22 and miami and IW 23! that's a lot of lost points (2000 + potential 6000)! with only W22 points he would most likely be no1 until W23, with only a small fraction of points he could win in those banned tournaments he would be no1 continuously from W22 until W23 and probably beyond.

Why am I not on the list? Wounded.
Slams beats no.1 though 👌
He’s not even the best player born in May 1987, nevermind ever.

Only if one OG = 10 slams and if we can't take into account [email protected] & y.e. no.1 seasons, yec & masters titles, NoleSlam, DCGM (all masters x 2), H2H etc.

I said best player. I acknowledge Djokovic has had the ‘greater’ career but in terms of pure tennis talent Murray is better for me.

Then you should've said "most talented" instead, the best player can signify more things but a pure talent is not among them.

More like tennis devolved
he was already robbed of both
he decided it by himself with no regrets ☺
It’s fair to say though too that if Murray hadn’t had the hip injury when he did Djokovic wouldn’t be at 22 slams now or have as long a reign at number one.
