The semi everybody has been looking for ever since the draw came out. How fascinating. Can’t wait to watch this beautiful and aggressive shotmaking in this match. Tennis world must be thrilled to have this match as the semi in the first slam back. Don’t call yourself a tennis fan if you don’t watch it from start to finish.

Seriously, to many people who enjoy Djokovic’s default, are y’all happy now? Enjoy this fucking slam semi.

We already had Anderson-PCB semi here 3 years ago, not much of a difference actually. PCB hits shots flatter than Coric, so Zverev should be able to control the rallies better in theory. Zverev really won’t get a better chance to make a slam final, let’s see if he can keep his cool and execute well.

The only thing I can say is... if Zverev does not pick up his level significantly, I predict that we are in for another shitshow.

The other SF will likely be the real final.

At least I hope so.

This so much more preferable than seeing Djokovic ruin a SF by dropping 5 or 6 games. This match while probably will be trash, it should be more competitive
Then you’re just a Djokovic hater more than a tennis lover. Good for you, now go treasure that match and remember to watch it from start to finish. Don’t even breathe in between points.

Yeah wanting Djokovic to continue his dominance by winning 6 of the last 8 slams and removing the whole atmosphere of competitiveness and increasing the predictability is what a tennis lover wants

Don’t be so salty and enjoy this epic 😛

There is no way PCB or Zverev can beat Medvedev.
At the moment, Medvedev certainly looks to be playing better than Zverev, but their H2H, 5-1, is in favor of Zvevev.

Also medvedevs level is still Hard to judge given the mug opponents he faced so far. Winning an atp 250 is harder than reaching this slam-semi which is actually a huge joke. If one of the big 3 had a draw like this the other 2 fanbases would crap all over them, but since it’s Medvedev, everyone seems to be indifferent or oblivious to it

Regardless, I still think Medvedev is the best of the remaining and is the man to beat. He can not only push from the baseline but also has a big serve, which makes him the favorite for the title.

No but seriously how many people would feel extremely excited to watch this match? Gosh I feel bored just looking at the names and imagining the matchup already. How disappointing for a slam semi and for tennis overall. People were so excited when there was the QF lineup, saying that they were so happy for a new slam champ blabla, a 90s born slam champ blabla. I wonder what they are thinking after watching these 2 QFs and seeing the results like this. The media must feel just as pumped as the fans. How fascinating. Can’t remember the last time I had to skip a slam semi.

Kevin Anderson was playing a lot better tennis than Alexander Zverev, that's for sure.

Maybe, but Anderson’s draw was easy as well, Zverev would also probably look good if he played Querrey in the quarters, and Anderson played Coric right after his tiring big upset over Zverev.

Were you there when Federer won all those slams and had a slam final streak? So he’s old now and is no longer be able to win slams, and it’s Djokodal’s time, suddenly it’s all about the field and the atmosphere of competitiveness now? Gotta laugh at Fedtard’s hypocrisy.

The opening poster acts like Defaultovic's brand of servebot pushing is actually any more entertaining than his proteges.. We have competitive match so tennis fans have ultimately been rewarded.

Lol what century is it that there are still people calling Djokovic a pusher? Living under a rock huh, mr. dumbass? Did you watch his match against Struff? Don’t lie if you didn’t. If you love entertaining and competitive tennis that much, go watch the match between Coric and Zverev over and over again to prepare for the semi, until your eyes fucking bleed. Good luck in finding someone on the same side as you and compliment that competitive match. Now go treasure that semi you’re going to have. Don’t just type like this, remember to watch, coz you’re rewarded as you said.

It doesn't matter who is playing who. Kevin Anderson was playing attacking tennis, regardless of opposition. Alexander Zverev is pushing, hitting double faults and playing desperate 130mph plus second serves.

There's quite an obvious difference in quality. Kevin Anderson also defeated Andy Murray at the 2015 edition in a high quality match, playing much the same kind of tennis as he did in 2017.

You're clutching at straws.
