We already had Anderson-PCB semi here 3 years ago, not much of a difference actually. PCB hits shots flatter than Coric, so Zverev should be able to control the rallies better in theory. Zverev really won’t get a better chance to make a slam final, let’s see if he can keep his cool and execute well.

Regardless, I still think Medvedev is the best of the remaining and is the man to beat. He can not only push from the baseline but also has a big serve, which makes him the favorite for the title.

No but seriously how many people would feel extremely excited to watch this match? Gosh I feel bored just looking at the names and imagining the matchup already. How disappointing for a slam semi and for tennis overall. People were so excited when there was the QF lineup, saying that they were so happy for a new slam champ blabla, a 90s born slam champ blabla. It doesn't matter who is playing who. Kevin Anderson was playing attacking tennis, regardless of opposition. Alexander Zverev is pushing, hitting double faults and playing desperate 130mph plus second serves.

There's quite an obvious difference in quality. Kevin Anderson also defeated Andy Murray at the 2015 edition in a high quality match, playing much the same kind of tennis as he did in 2017.
